I’m a third-generation Arizonan who grew up in North Tempe on a small little farm with, in my eyes, the world’s best parents. At a young age, we learned to be patient, work hard, love all living things, and live life with heart, soul, and purpose. We were taught to always be kind, giving, and strong.
I learned to care deeply and love without condition. And for that, I will always be grateful to two amazing parents whose hearts and souls blanket the universe with genuine kindness.
If I’m not home loving on my dogs, horses, chickens, and wildlife, you’ll probably find me hiking, paddleboarding, or doing just about anything outdoors while enjoying the gifts of Mother Nature.
Or... you’ll find me in the kitchen experimenting with a new recipe, trying to find that perfect balance of ingredients rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants—while still making something that actually makes your taste buds happy. 😊
My childhood dream was to become a “boss,” a dentist, and a veterinarian. Apparently, I had big plans! Instead, life sent me down the path of nursing.
For more than 17 years, I’ve committed my career to caring for others across many different areas of nursing. The science of medicine and the human body has always been incredibly intriguing to me, and nursing brought together the things I love most—science, medicine, compassion, and heartfelt service to others.
Those years have also given me a deeper appreciation for the whole person. Our physical health is important, but so are our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Life can be busy, noisy, and demanding, and I’ve come to appreciate just how meaningful it can be to intentionally make room to slow down and care for ourselves along the way.
After experiencing significant changes in my own life, Reiki unexpectedly became part of my personal journey.
And when I say unexpectedly... I mean a salon professional I had never met before introduced me to Reiki. (Random, I know.) She had this magnetic energy about her, and we talked as if we’d been friends for years. During our conversation, she asked if I had ever experienced Reiki.
I had never even heard of it, but being me, I was curious
and agreed.
And WOW!!
I left feeling relaxed, lighter, and happier. For that little bit of time, I was able to let go, quiet my mind, breathe, and simply experience the energy of Reiki. I was fascinated—and naturally, my inquisitive mind NEEDED to know more.
I began researching Reiki and soon completed my Usui Reiki training. My journey continued from there, eventually leading me to Reiki Master training and my Reiki Master certificate through the International Center for Reiki Training.
Because animals have always held such a special place in my heart and have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, continuing my Reiki journey with animals felt like a natural fit. I completed Animal Reiki training and received my certificate through the International Center for Reiki Training.
It gave me another way to share something I had grown to love—with the animals I’ve loved my entire life.
What began as one completely unexpected encounter with Reiki became the beginning of something much bigger. It opened the door to a different way of thinking about wellness and sparked a curiosity that has continued to grow.
Over time, that curiosity led me to explore other practices that support relaxation, connection, and whole-person well-being—and ultimately helped shape what Life in Balance and Harmony is becoming today.
That curiosity eventually led me to reflexology. I discovered another practice that resonated with me and offered a different approach to relaxation and overall well-being.
Reflexology has since become another part of Life in Balance and Harmony, alongside Reiki and the other practices that continue to inspire my learning.
And I have a feeling my curiosity isn’t finished with me yet.
As I continue on my earthly path, guided by my heart and inner voice, I will continue to focus on holistic health and well-being—offering my services in hopes of making a positive difference and helping create a little more balance and harmony in people’s lives.
Reflexology, Reiki, and Chakra Balancing are complementary wellness practices intended to support relaxation and overall well-being.
